The almost-famous Los Angeles native DJ Duo, Artifractal has recently become Manitou Locals as they work on gaining recognition along the Midwestern parts of America.
They became unstoppable as they combined their background in both production and mixing. As for their music, they consistently strive to make every set brim with copious amounts of exciting drops, along with renowned vocals that the crowd knows and can sing along with.
Artifractal creates a fun and fluid musical collage of well-known dance music, which spans multiple genres mashed up with some of the most futuristic electronic beats to keep the crowd pumped up for the party. Moreover, the duo has a particularly interesting story behind the music they create and mix, as they composed it as a married couple.
“We met at a large insomniac festival in California way back in 2010 and have been submerged in the dance music scene ever since,” said Xander Pryce.
The beat captured their hearts as Xander continued to DJ and DELPH!E worked on an array of music production, yet they didn’t become a couple until 2013.
“When we first got together, I knew I wanted to work on party planning and production while Xander continued to mix music for the events I would throw at our first house party together,” said DELPH!E. “Over time, we decided to combine forces as our relationship grew stronger and closer to dance music; through that, we created Artifractal, a DJ duo.
“Soon after, we got married at a one-of-a-kind reunion festival for Woodstock in the original Bethel Woods grounds; it was a dream come true,” said DELPH!E. After being submerged in an industry with unlimited talent and high prices, the couple decided to explore their options with the music industry in other places.
“Manitou was the perfect location,” Pryce said. “It is engulfed with creative talent and is close enough to Denver where the underground dance scene is booming.” In 2015, the couple became emerged in the essence of the smaller town as they delved into the music industry surrounding Manitou Springs. Since their move, they have established three residences and have toggled playing some of the top nightclubs in Colorado Springs and Denver.
“We have also traveled back to Los Angeles for bigger shows now that we have more recognition,” said Pryce. Well-known across the West Coast, Artifractal has performed at several Los Angeles nightclubs and bars, such as the world-renowned Avalon in Hollywood and Union L.A.
The DJ Duo is becoming a part of the festival scene through such sponsors as Global Dance. With this in mind, Artifractal is able to dabble in an unlimited assortment of music genres for any upcoming event.
As the couple continues to dominate shows along the western half of the United States, they also plan to release their first album and tour the East Coast this year. If you are interested in seeing one of their performances, they will be playing every Saturday evening in Old Colorado City at the Pothole.
